The Executive is responsible for the administration, direction, oversight and coordination of all Occupational Medicine services.The Executive provides overall strategic direction and has operational responsibility while maintaining accountability for performance, marketing, quality, financial results, growth, and development of the occupational medicine service line. Success in this role is dependent on collaboration and positive relationships with administration, physicians, hospital specific leaders, clinic management and staff, vendors, and community organizations to continually drive excellence in quality of services and overall patient experience.

Job Duties:

  • Develops and manages all functions within the Occupational Health service line including developing multi-year service line strategy, setting operational standards and clinical protocols, proposing strategic provider staffing needs, and developing new services and locations with the goal of increasing service line growth.
  • Collaborates with administration and practice leadership to ensure successful execution of strategy within operations.
  • Directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine and corporate wellness services that support the needs of the local businesses and industries to ensure the needs of the working community are met.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with lawyers, case managers, brokers, companies in the community to enhance and grow occupational health.
  • Proposes service-line specific operational standards (e.g. expected productivity, shifts, hours of operation, etc.) and supports practice leaders in deploying the standards.
  • Aligns expectations with organizational vision and service-culture initiatives to achieve the goals defined by the system for patient services, physician satisfaction and employee satisfaction.
  • Ensures the fulfillment of NKCH/Meritas’ mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
  • Manages the financial performance of the service line.
  • Tracks and manages service line performance to include NKCH and Meritas.
  • Demonstrates human resource management through effective supervision, recruitment, retention, performance management and compliance with Meritas Policies and Procedures, employment laws and regulatory standards.
  • Responsible for physician, APP and caregiver engagement with the service line.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in business, health care administration or other related field required. Masters in business or health care administration preferred.
  • 5 years relevant occupational health experience. Experience in sales, marketing and strategic planning.
  • Deep knowledge of occupational health; expertise in project planning, process improvement and leading teams. Ability to facilitate interdisciplinary teams and to develop effective relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Leadership experience in an integrated healthcare delivery system or hospital environment, preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently
