Patient Service Representative, Contact Center

Your Mission:

To ensure every patient receives the best customer service possible and to make them feel valued and cared for.  To answer all incoming calls to the Cardiology Contact Center and triaging approximately 100 calls per day.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer all incoming calls ranging from re/lab requests to patients having medical issues
• Schedule patient appointments for 15 physicians
• Check voice mails and ensure prompt follow up
• Document patient information in the EMR (Cerner)
• Work on physician schedules
• Send messages to the nurse staff to review 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of medical / healthcare experience
• Strong Customer Service experience
• Basic office skills - ability to navigate a variety of computer systems
• CPT and diagnosis coding experience is a plus but not required
• Remain HIPPA Compliant
• Demonstrate leadership
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Professionalism is a must
