Summary

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: The Nursing Professional Development LPN serves as an educational resource for nursing staff; assists in the development and implementation of clinical educational activities that promote exemplary professional practice and quality patient care; assists in the coordination and implementation of the educational components of the organization's clinical initiatives and practices; and supports the Clinical Educational Specialists and Nursing Professional Development RNs in the Nursing Professional Development Department.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years of LPN experience required. Previous administrative/secretarial office experience is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Advanced skills in organization and self-management; ability to establish priorities; keep attention to detail and critical thinking skills; proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook calendar, Word, Excel (including pivot tables), and PowerPoint; and proficient in Survey Monkey and Sign Up Genius.

OTHER: Self-motivated; able to communicate effectively with external and internal customers; and organizational skills to perform multiple tasks.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), IVTC (IV Therapy Certification) Preferred: ACLS Instructor (Advance Cardiac Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
