Safety Sitter-Mental Health Tech

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Sitter/MHT is responsible for the direct, continuous observation of patients. She/he intervenes as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at high risk for injuring themselves or others due to confusion, delirium, self-destructive behavior, or high likelihood of falling. She/he ensures a safe environment, monitoring the patients� emotional condition, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Sitter/MHT works with other in the health care team to provide Activities of Daily living and assure prompt intervention to maintain patients� safety. Those that are Certified Nurses Assistants will provide ADLs, Vital Signs and provide for mobility.

EXPERIENCE:Hospital patient care experience within the last 3 years.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
