Summary

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition, the Food Procurement/Inventory Coordinator oversees all purchasing, receiving, and storage of food, supplies, and equipment in the Food and Nutrition Services Department and Seasons Cafe. The position is responsible for meeting sanitation and storage standards in the storage and production areas. This coordinator is involved with menu planning, forecasting, and financials by collaborating closely with the Executive Chef, Retail Coordinator, and Nutrition Informatics RD. Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines staff as needed. Serves as main contact for most vendors and collaborates with Director on vendor agreements/partnerships, and budgetary goals.

EXPERIENCE: Proven work experience 5 years +.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Competency in purchasing procedures, receiving, storage, inventory management, and food preparation. Proficient in Microsoft Office. CBORD experience preferred, otherwise willingness to learn is necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and effective organization skills.

OTHER: Scheduling of personnel, and scheduling of food production.

LICENSE/CERT: Preferred: CDM (Certified Dietary Manager), RD-CDR (Registered Dietitian - Commission of Dietetic Registration)

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Related Field, Equivalent Experience - Related Field
