Supervisor Core Applications

SUMMARY: Provides proactive management of complex electronic medical record applications in a highly integrated environment. Guides a team of Analysts in determining optimal solution designs, standards development, and operational efficiencies, while simultaneously developing team growth through education and experience. In addition to managing day-to-day application support, this position serves a consultative role; working with other IT staff to design efficient workflows that make the most of available automation utilizing established evidence-based best practices and external sources to ensure optimal customer engagement. Assists with troubleshooting and issue resolution, design, build, and maintenance of the EMR solutions as needed to support the team.

EXPERIENCE:Minimum five years of experience working with Cerner EMR solutions such as PowerChart, FirstNet, SurgiNet, PowerChart Ambulatory, Maternity, Case Management. Five years working with computers and computer programs. Five years of experience in a healthcare facility or with a healthcare system with related operational experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:Strong experience and understanding of Cerner EMR solutions such as PowerChart, FirstNet, and SurgiNet. Ability to troubleshoot issues related to the core Cerner solutions, provide education, design recommendations, and strategic planning around these solutions. High level of skill with a PC, familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Expert in Microsoft Office programs, working understanding of general database principles and how data is stored, working understanding of general networking principles, working understanding of web-based systems.

OTHER:Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Related Field, Preferred: Masters - Related Field
