Lead Bed Placement Specialist

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department supervisor and nursing administration, assigns patients to beds in proper locations. Maintains and provides direction for admitting staff and ensures department operates smoothly. Answers department phones and handles calls appropriately along with checking in patients over the phone as needed.

EXPERIENCE: General office experience/education required. Computer experience required. Prior registration experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Typing/keyboarding skills required. Customer service skills required. Medical terminology preferred.

OTHER: Available to work within a 24 hour hospital setting. Required to work some holidays.

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
