Health Information Mgmt Analyst

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the HIM Supervisor/AA, the Health Information Management analyst works closely with Cerner Core applications team to build, implement, and support HIM applications. Assists in the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of applications and responds with solutions to all identified concerns. Works closely with end users as the primary contact for supported applications. Other duties include data integrity initiatives and medical record reviews in accordance with state and federal regulations.

EXPERIENCE: Preferred experience in a related area, experience with application support and technical components.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong experience and understanding of Cerner EMR solutions such as PowerChart, Access HIM, Clinical Reporting. Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve.

OTHER: Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator)

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Related Field, Preferred: Bachelors - Related Field
