Responsibilities

• Provides patient care such as obtaining vital signs, lab specimens, ambulating and toileting, transportation of patients as needed, providing refreshments to patients as indicated and maintaining a safe environment.
• Demonstrates knowledge and technical expertise in care for the adult patient in an outpatient setting with special emphasis on patients requiring blood transfusion, iron, antibiotics, specialty injections, chemotherapy and other infusions, within the boundaries of educational and practical experience.
• Demonstrates through and complete communication with the RN, pharmacy tech and registrar in the clinic to ensure patient information is shared accurately and timely for patient care
• Prioritizes appropriately and demonstrates an ability to utilize time in a productive and beneficial fashion for the patients and the clinic
• Demonstrates a team approach and ownership in the clinic’s daily operations
• Assists with ordering and stocking of clinic supplies. Completes the weekly nutrition ordering. Completes cleaning of all patient care equipment between all patient encounters.
• Demonstrates organization skills by placing the patients in the appropriate place on check in for their specific treatment, obtaining labs and monitoring for the results, assisting with patient throughput and discharge.

Experience: Hospital experience preferred

License/Certification/Education:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)-Required
• High School or Equivalent-Preferred
