Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the department director, the Specialty Equipment Tech tracks and maintains all rental specialty equipment and owned specialty beds.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner.
• Delivering equipment to all units within the hospital.
• Accountable for administrative functions, such as equipment report accuracy, maintenance requests and equipment inventory.
• Works closely with Central Services, Environmental Services, and rental equipment vendors to ensure all specialty care needs are being met and equipment is not lost or being underutilized.
• Demonstrate intermediate computer skills to accurately track and document equipment usage (previous Excel experience preferred)
   

Experience:

• Two years of hospital CNA experience-Preferred
• Previous Specialty Equipment Tech experience-Preferred

License/Certification/Education: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association)- Required. CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant license) OR completion of a PCT training program-Required

Education: High School or Equivalent- Required
