Aide-Home Health CNA

SUMMARY: Under the direction of an RN, follows the plan of care, performing various services for the patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and optimal level of comfort by performing basic nursing care and support tasks. Assists with installation of remote patient monitoring units (RPM), cleans returned units, and assists with maintaining inventory of RPM equipment. Rotates call on weekends for RPM issues. Performs venipuncture for private pay patients.

EXPERIENCE: Home Health experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to speak, read and write in English.

OTHER: Must meet basic training requirements of the state. Possess current drivers license and auto liability insurance. Completion of Home Health Aide test and passes certification per state and Federal regulations, as well as successfully completes competency skills checklist. Maintains appropriate continuing education per regulation and NKCH policy.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)

Preferred: CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide)

EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
