Summary
SUMMARY: North Kansas City Hospital and its subsidiary, Meritas Health, seek a Director of Business Development to drive profitable growth through internal and external collaboration and partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Business Development, the Director will develop and maintain relationships and resources necessary to discover and develop new programs and initiatives, manage physician relationships and lead clinical partnerships. This high-profile executive will work closely with peers in Corporate and Community Health, Business Intelligence, Finance, Managed Care, Marketing, Legal, and with service line, clinical and administrative leadership across the system. The Director of Business Development oversees two physician liaisons.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years progressive healthcare provider experience in physician relations, market analysis, financial modeling, and/or strategy. Experience managing healthcare/hospital alliances, partnerships and collaborations, and developing new business ventures. Demonstrated success at relationship-building, communication, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and influence among all levels of stakeholders. General knowledge of provider billing practices and reimbursement methodologies is preferred. Expertise with analytical software, budget/finance tools, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated analytical skills to gather, interpret, and present complex market and pro forma data. Project management experience.
