Job Description:

As a patient service representative your role is to ensure every patient and their guest receives the best customer service possible and to make them feel valued and cared for.  You will be the face of the Meritas practice, checking patients in and performing administrative duties to prepare the patient for the providers.

 

Job Duties:

  • Meet and greet patients and their guests
  • Complete patient registration and check eligibility
  • Communicate and collect co-pays
  • Balance cash box daily
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Answer phones, triage incoming calls, take messages, follow up
  • Document patient information in the EMR (Cerner)

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Strong Customer Service experience
  • Basic office skills - ability to navigate a variety of computer systems
  • CPT and diagnosis coding experience is a plus but not required
  • Remain HIPPA Compliant
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Demonstrate leadership
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Professionalism is a must
