Job Description:

Under the direction of a Physician, you will provide patients with nursing care.

Job Duties:

  •  Accurate and timely in carrying out specific verbal or written orders (possibly in the form of protocols or standing orders) generated and signed by a physician.  Competently assesses and counsels patients. Administers medication and treatment and performs procedures, as prescribed by a physician.
  • Efficiently schedules patient procedures.  Correctly and appropriately relays test preparation instructions, hospital registration requirements, and physician instructions to patients in a timely manner.  Thoroughly educates and explains procedures and treatment plan to patients and caregivers.
  • Completely assists providers to maximize patient volume. Returns patient calls in a timely manner. Documents patient care accurately and timely. Performs EMR tasks correctly and timely.
  • Works and communicates effectively with all providers.  Coordinates and assists in the delivery of a plan of health care with all care team members. Promotes teamwork.  Provides great customer service in person and on the telephone.
  • Follows all regulatory and patient safety clinical standards.
  • Demonstrates professionalism by articulating and demonstrating professional behavior, accepting responsibility and accountability for actions, adhering to policies and procedures, demonstrating leadership and supporting Meritas initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of two years recent experience in a physician’s office setting, preferably in clinic specialty.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association
  • Basic office skills
