Patient Service Rep - Float

Meritas Health is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to fill a Float, Patient Service Representative position.  In this position you'll be traveling to different practices across the Northland to assist patients with the check-in/check-out process, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, updating patient records in the EMR, answering phones, collecting payments, and working with the clinical staff to provide excellent patient service.

This role will take a special individual who is a quick learner, adaptable and flexible to our ever changing needs.  Your assignment at a practice could be several weeks, or you could be moving to a different practice each day.  We are a premier network of primary and specialty care practices with over 30 locations in Clay and Platte counties, offering patient care services for all aspects of life from pregnancy to birth, pediatric and primary care, specialty and surgical care.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Basic office skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• 2+ years experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in medical office, strongly preferred
• Flexibility, adaptability and strong organizational skills
