Stemi Program Manager

SUMMARY: The STEMI Program Manager works both independently and in collaboration with physicians, clinicians, and the leadership team to pursue and maintain program accreditation standards. The STEMI Program Manager will be selfdirected and selfmotivated to plan and conduct work with minimal direction, reporting to the Senior Director of Nursing. Primary responsibility is coordination of the STEMI Program, which includes the development, maintenance and growth of the program. Responsibilities include assisting in community screening/education events, clinical evaluation and tracking of quality measures for stroke patients, outcomes measurement utilizing registry data/reports, and monitoring of patient/family satisfaction. The STEMI Program Manager facilitates regularly scheduled multidisciplinary team meetings and ensures attendance requirements to accreditation standards. He/she selects and develops staff education offerings regarding care of the cardiovascular patient, as well as development of related educational and program marketing materials for the community. The STEMI Program Manager coordinates all aspects of the performance improvement (PI) process for the cardiovascular program including the development of PI indicators, while presenting system case reviews and actively participating in the peer review process.

EXPERIENCE: Three years of relevant clinical service line experience, preferably in cardiology. Program management and/or performance improvement experience desired.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer skills to include: Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Entry.

OTHER: Ability to foster and maintain relationships with physicians and staff within the service line, selfstarter, ability to think critically and work through problems, strong speaker/presenter, teaching and coaching.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Nursing
