Job Description:

Under the direction of management, the Claims Denial Associate monitors, researches, and resolves rejected claims while instituting processes to minimize claims denials.

Job Duties:

  • Performs claims follow up procedures on unpaid and denied claims in a timely manner.
  • Conducts all denial follow up activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and insurance company guidelines.
  • Identifies reasons for denied claims and institutes processes to minimize claims denials.
  • Works with practice staff to improve front-end revenue cycle processes and performance to reduce denied claims to meet benchmarks.

Minimum requirements:

  • CPC required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in physician office setting preferred
  • Current knowledge of CPT, ICD 9, HCPS, and modifier codes
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
