Summary

SUMMARY: SUMMARY: The Patient Access Director will function under the leadership of the Vice President, Revenue Cycle & Managed Care. The position will oversee all hospital processes related to pre-service financial clearance (pre-registration, insurance authorization assurance, pre-service payment collections) as well as time-of-service registration data integrity (demographic collection, POS collections, and insurance eligibility) in areas of responsibility. Position will represent patient access revenue cycle needs and initiatives as well as demonstrate proficiency in leadership tasks and operations oversight. Patient Access Director will work collaboratively with revenue cycle and operational peers to provide input and achieve department and hospital objectives.

EXPERIENCE: 3 years in healthcare-related position, at least 2 of which are Revenue Cycle advanced roles.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Understand Patient Access procedures and operations. Recognize quality services and continuously strive for improvement in areas of responsibility.

OTHER: Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Ability to confidently navigate various technology applications. Ability to recognize individual differences and adapt accordingly. Ability to exercise judgment, make decisions, and take responsibility for decisions.

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Business, Preferred: Masters - Related Field
