Summary

Meritas Health, the largest network of healthcare providers in the Northland, and a subsidiary of North Kansas City Hospital, is currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join the HR team.

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management across Meritas. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.  The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy and will act as change agent through process design and approaches that support change and transformation – striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.

A typical day may include:

  • Building strong relationships and providing trusted advice to leaders on the full range of HR programs, such as: talent management, including performance management, succession planning and talent development; HR policies and processes; employee relations, employee reward and recognition; employee survey findings, etc.
  • Building knowledge of business strategies of client groups.
  • Partnering with and leading interdepartmental teams to complete assigned projects.
  • Organizing, managing, and planning projects by outlining the tasks involved and delegating accordingly.
  • Addressing questions, concerns and works to ensure project meets deadlines. Following through on implementation to ensure adoption across the organization.
  • Administering human resources policies and programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves of absence; staffing; performance and talent management; leadership development and team building; recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; training; and on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Partnering with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy.
  • Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions; programs and policies.
  • Evaluating issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs i.e. training to address certain needs.
  • Assisting with general HR department functions such as employee offboarding, exit interviews, talent acquisition reporting, maintaining job descriptions, making compensation recommendations.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience in HR Generalist or Business Partner role
  • Experience in Organizational Development/Effectiveness helpful
  • SHRM CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively embrace and drive positive change during periods of realignment and growth.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills and demonstrated experience in developing consultative relationships with business leaders.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or qualify for an accommodation under the Meritas vaccination policy.
