Summary
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Performance Improvement (PI) Department leadership, the Coordinator of Performance Improvement is responsible for coordinating and driving progress of robust process improvement projects.
- Provides organizational staff support in the development, implementation and evaluation of the hospitals overall quality improvement program, which includes:
- Ancillary, nursing, and medical staff departments to identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Works collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Areas of focus include but not limited to:
- Regulatory survey readiness activities
- Maintaining organizational PI activity oversight
- Reporting and updating publicly reported organizational measures, and/or registries and related clinical outcomes, patient safety related clinical outcomes, regulatory and contracted value related clinical outcomes.
EXPERIENCE: Five or more years of experience in clinical healthcare or performance improvement. Demonstrated ability to facilitate group discussion. Demonstrated ability to manage a project from start to finish including steps to identify, design, measure, analyze, improve, control, and spread improvement.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent time management and organizational skills; proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in data applications, experience in data report writing preferred. Leadership qualities with exceptional oral and written communication skills; self-motivation and ability to work independently; ability to work as a team player and collaborate effectively with others. Note: Special skills may be required for assigned areas of focus.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri Preferred: CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality), Lean Six Sigma Certification, PMP (Project Management Professional)
EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - Health Care Related, Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing
