Job Description:

Under the direction of a Physician, you will provide patients with nursing care.

Job Duties:

•  Accurate and timely in carrying out specific verbal or written orders (possibly in the form of protocols or standing orders) generated and signed by a physician. 
• Competently assesses and counsels’ patients. Administers medication and treatment and performs procedures, as prescribed by a physician.
• Efficiently schedules patient procedures.  Correctly and appropriately relays test preparation instructions, hospital registration requirements, and physician instructions to patients in a timely manner.  Thoroughly educates and explains procedures and treatment plan to patients and caregivers.
• Assists providers to maximize patient volume. Returns patient calls in a timely manner.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in EMR.
• Works and communicates effectively with all providers.  Coordinates and assists in the delivery of a plan of health care with all care team members. Promotes teamwork. 
• Provides great customer service in person and on the telephone.
• Follows all regulatory and patient safety clinical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license
• Cardiology or Cardiac ICU, Telemetry, ED, or PACU pre-op experience strongly preferred. 
• Minimum of two years recent experience required; physician office experience helpful
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association required
• Basic office skills
