Medical Technologist

SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Transfusion Services Clinical Supervisor and School of Clinical Lab Science Program Director, provides laboratory services by performing laboratory testing of any level (high, moderate or low complexity) as well as waived tests. Assumes responsibility for all stages of laboratory service (pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical) as well as instruction of laboratory medicine.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Computer skills.

OTHER: Excellent interpersonal skills.

LICENSE/CERT: Required: MT-AMT (Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologist), CLS(NCA) (Clinical Laboratory Scientist - National Credentialing Agency), MT(ASCP) (Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology), MLS(ASCP) (Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology)
