Summary

SUMMARY: The Content Development Coordinator (CDC) will draw upon his/her experience in publishing, content marketing, search engine optimization and editorial direction, to develop and implement audience-specific content strategies and copy that increase reader engagement, grow website traffic, build newsletter circulation and compel audiences to take action. The CDC collaborates and is engaged with all departments in the marketing division and its hospital customers, and reports to the Marketing & Communications Director.

EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of recent, relevant experience, with a focus in healthcare marketing communications, editorial/content management and strategy

SPECIAL SKILLS: In addition to exceptional creative and business writing skills, ability to demonstrate a strong aptitude for and some level of work experience around these key attributes:
  • Project management: Is able to easily handle multiple tasks for a wide number of projects, many with multiple deadlines and multiple players.
  • Healthcare knowledge: Is able to comprehend essential information on complex topics across a wide range of medicine, administration and healthcare technology. Understands the hospital/healthcare environment and its multiple audiences.
  • Marketing knowledge: Is easily able to discern content that is market viable for physicians versus patients versus the public. Has excellent understanding of how to use search engine insights to drive content improvements.
  • Editorial competency: Strong writing ability including strong content curation judgment, copy-editing skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of AP style guide.

EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - English, Bachelors - Journalism, Preferred: Masters - English, Masters - Journalism
