Coordinator, IT Applications

SUMMARY: Coordinates all activities associated with new project implementations, including implementation planning and budgeting, implementation, post implementation audit, training of technical resources and turnover to operations and help desk staffs for ongoing support.

EXPERIENCE: 6 years experience building, designing, testing problem-solving and troubleshooting in hospital clinical systems. 1-3 years of project management experience in information systems or 1-3 years experience in hospital management preferred. Demonstrated experience with project management tools, methodology or certification.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Working understanding of Cerner applications. Strong experience and understanding of Cerner EMR solutions such as PowerChart, FirstNet, and SurgiNet. Ability to troubleshoot issues related to the core Cerner solutions, provide education, design recommendations, and strategic planning around these solutions. High level of skill with a PC, familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Expert in Microsoft Office programs, working understanding of general database principles and how data is stored, working understanding of general networking principles, working understanding of web-based systems.

OTHER: Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as planning and organizing skills.

EDUCATION: Required: Associates - Related Field, Preferred: Bachelors - Related Field
